For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.          Ephesians 2: 10.

Of course, we know we are saved by grace through faith, and what a blessing that is! However, in return, we are expected to be fruitful servants.  Right now, there is a perfect opportunity to step out in that faith by supporting an Afghan family in our local community. Several families at Redeemer have partnered with Samaritan’s Purse to relocate a family to Martin County and offer assistance until they become self-sufficient. We ask you to prayerfully consider how you can help.

  1. Give financially.    This family will be dependent on us for everything for the first few months until employment is secured.  Therefore, financial support is essential.   You can give directly by clicking on this link and selecting Afghan Resettlement in the box available.

  2. Volunteer.  There are many opportunities to serve (shopping, transportation, lawn care, household maintenance, tutoring, etc.).  Please call Leslie or John to volunteer.

  3. Donate.  We will update our list of items needed (see below). Additionally, we will be adding an Amazon wish list to help make it even easier.

If you have any questions or just want to be involved, please contact John Lendman (772-485-1592)  lendman.john@gmail.com or Leslie Kingsley (772-285-7877) lakingsley57@hotmail.com

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16.
