Why is Youth & Family Ministry Important?

Youth and Family Ministry is vital because it helps shape a lasting faith that endures throughout a person’s life. Through strong relationships, family partnership, and intergenerational connection, the Church becomes a positive and grounding influence in the lives of young people. Redeemer’s Youth and Family Ministry supports this mission by helping children, youth, and families grow in their relationship with God through meaningful opportunities to hear the Word and live it out.

What’s Going On?

Kids’ Connection (ages 4-5th grade)
  • Meets during the latter part of the early service. Children will be dismissed immediately after the children’s message to the Conference Room for Bible lessons, games, crafts, and fun! Parents, pick up your child after worship.

Confirmation (7 & 8th grade)
  • Meets on bi weekly on Sundays from 9:45-10:45am. Guided by the catechism, students engage in scripture reading, prayer, and thoughtful discussions on topics like apologetics and Christian living. Through these practices, they grow in their understanding of God’s Word and develop a faith that is active, personal, and enduring. Sign ups required for this class.

High School Bible Study (9-12th grade)
  • Meets monthly on Sundays from 9:45-10:45am. Students have space to connect, support one another, and dig deeper into what the Bible says about the world; and how it applies to them.

Family Events (All Ages Welcome)
  • Join us for the fun! Throughout the year, we partner with our school families to host a variety of fun and meaningful events for all ages. These gatherings are a great way to connect, build relationships, and strengthen our church and school community. Come join the fun—we’d love to see you there!

Yearly Retreats (6-12th Grade)
  • The Florida-Georgia District hosts an annual Middle School Youth Gathering and High School Retreat, giving students the chance to connect, build community, and grow in their faith. Redeemer participates each year, joining other students for these meaningful experiences.
