6th Grade Homeroom, Geography & Reading, Middle School Science
Miss Macari completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Grades Science Education in December of 2015, and will be certified to teach science to students in grades 5-9. She grew up in Martin County and has always been proud of the education that she received within this school district. After graduating from high school, she became a student at Indian River State College. While working on completing her degree, she maintained two part-time jobs. Before beginning student teaching, she worked for the school district’s Extended Day program at Jensen Beach and Felix A. Williams Elementary schools. While working for this program, she was a counselor for children in grades Pre-K through 5th. She also worked as a teacher’s aide for the preschool program at Jensen Beach Community Church where she worked with younger children. She loved working at both of these jobs and valued the relationships that she was making with students while helping them to learn and grow. Because of this, both of these jobs showed her that she was meant to be a teacher. She also had the amazing experience of being able to complete her student teaching requirement at Hidden Oaks Middle School, where she learned how to be an effective teacher.
