Monday Note Grade 5

Please do not forget the all school sing for May 2 at the 11 AM service. Please come and help us celebrate the 25th anniversary of our school. There is a luncheon that follows the 11:00 A.M. service. Watch the Rams News for details and be watching for you invitation.

Religion: Lessons 73-76 this week. We will be studying the prophet Elijah.

Memory: Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.”

English: We will be working with prepositional phrases this week. The test is scheduled for May 11.

Spelling: Unit 35 test will be Friday.

Reading: We will be reading the novel, Island of the Blue Dolphin. We will have read through chapter 11 by next Monday.

Book Reports: A written book report is due April 30. This is the same format as March’s book report. There will be no book report for May. Extra Credit was offered, and must be completed by the date given on the April book report form.

Science: Test for Unit E, Chapter 1 is tomorrow. We will then begin Unit E Chap. 2.

Hands-on Science Sponsors: If anyone signed up to sponsor a hands-on science program with Mrs. B. and has not sent in their sponsor money they may do so at any time now. The cost of each program is $ 64.50. Thank you for your generous support. The students have really enjoyed their time with Mrs. B. learning and doing science from such a Christian perspective.

Cheerleaders—please bring in your knit skort (the one you wore at the Christmas parade) to Mrs. Grubb. I’d previously forgotten about this—unfortunately, it is not yours to keep.
