Our Volunteer Program is organized by the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) and it’s Volunteer Coordinator to ensure the needs of our school are met and assist in the scheduling and mentoring of our volunteer efforts. To carry out specific goals and one-time events, such as fundraisers, sports events, and academic events, committees are formed with a chairperson assigned to set up meeting times and coordinate the program or event needs. The PTO will communicate this information to you in our weekly newsletter, The Ram News and to our Room Parents and teachers. You will be informed of any upcoming events and programs, in addition to any classroom activities where your help is needed.
All parents of students enrolled in our school are members of the PTO, our Parent-Teacher Organization.
The PTO’s mission is to coordinate the needs of our school through our Volunteer program and serve as communication to our parents and School Board. The PTO consists of an elected board of parents-teachers who serve as president (s), treasurer, a corresponding secretary, a recording secretary and several vice presidents who help oversee many of the programs and events offered at Redeemer, while being a liaison between the teachers, parents and School Board.
The PTO operates under a limited budget of dues as paid by each family through their registration fee. These dues allow the PTO to organize school community events, help support our volunteer programs and cover any associated expenses. Several events are conducted during the year for social fellowship.
Redeemer’s School Board encourages all parents to be actively involved in some aspect of the PTO and encourage you to attend these PTO family-fun events. Volunteer hours can be credited for attendance.
The PTO Board meets monthly (open to all parents who would like to attend) while a General Member Meeting is held quarterly, usually coordinated with a school event. These Quarterly General Meetings are held allowing parents an opportunity to share new ideas, attend information sessions, and coordinate school events.
