VOCAL OPPORTUNITIES
The Praise Team leads worship at the 8:30 service. Wednesday rehearsals from 7-8 P.M. are in the sanctuary. Leading the congregation with the melody on both familiar and new songs is the focus. A binder with music will be prepared for newcomers. Our youth get involved here.

The Cathedral Choir sings at the 11:00 services. It rehearses in the Music Room on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30 P.M. Leading the liturgical responses and singing anthems are its concentration. New singers will receive a prepared folio of music.

The Men’s Chorus rehearses before the Cathedral Choir at 6 P.M. on Thursdays. Sandi Fowler leads them in worship once a month at the 11:00 service. Four-part harmony is the trademark of the music in their folders. Men of all ages are welcome.

We are happy to offer a church children’s choir The Joyful Noise Choir. It meets on Wednesdays from 6:00-6:45 P.M. Dawn Schafer meets the kids in the patio by the picnic tables for fun and food before the rehearsal. This choir of many ages begins with third graders. These young singers look up to the leadership given by the seventh and eighth graders. Friends are welcome.

The Sanctuary Choir is a new adult choir for the 8:30 service. The anthems have three- or four-part harmony with titles such as “More Precious Than Silver” and “There Is None Like You.” The target group is singers between 18-50.



INSTRUMENTAL OPPORTUNITIES

A brass ensemble for festival services meets on several Saturdays before a special service. Alan and Donna Fetterman direct the instrumentalists.

The Worship Band accompanies the Praise Team and congregation at the 8:30 services. Toni Cabibi on the bass, Larry Mirman on the guitar, Terri Cica and Sue Conner on the keyboards are joined by other instrumentalists as time enables. All interested musicians are welcome at the Wednesday rehearsals at 6 P.M. before the Praise Team rehearsals.



The adult hand bell choir begins rehearsals in November when Director Charlotte Williams returns from the North. The Tuesday rehearsals from 7:00-8:00 P.M. are in the Music Room.

The children’s chime choir for third and fourth graders begins after school starts. The Wednesday rehearsals are held from 3-4 P.M. in the Church with Teacher Carol Chorley.

The youth bell choir for upper grade students also begins after school starts. The Wednesday rehearsals are held from 3-4 P.M. in the Music Room with Teacher Stacey Davis. This schedule allows students to ring before confirmation classes at 4:15 P.M.
