Redeemer has a Women’s Ensemble rehearsing in the music room on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. This group’s main focus is three part music and they sing approximately six times during the year at varying services.
The Cathedral Choir sings at the 11:00 services from September through May. It rehearses in the Music Room on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. This group of men and women leads the liturgical responses and singing four part anthems are its concentration. New singers will receive a prepared folio of music. Singers of all ages are encouraged to come participate in a rehearsal.
The Praise Team leads worship at the 8:30 service. Tuesday rehearsals from 6:00-7:00 p.m. are in the sanctuary. Leading the congregation with the melody on both familiar and new songs is the focus. A binder with music will be prepared for newcomers. Students in Grade 4 and up and Adults are members. Instrumentalists are also invited to rehearse and perform with the Praise Team.
The Adult Hand Bell Choir begins rehearsals in September and finishes in May. The Tuesday rehearsals from 7:00-7:45 are in the Church. This group performs 4-6 times at worship services during the year and anyone teenage and up is invited to participate. No experience necessary.
Redeemer Lutheran School offers choir to its students. These groups perform in the community and at various worship services at least once a month. A student hand bell choir is also available to students in grades 6-8 who attend Redeemer School. This group performs in the community and a few times in worship services during the school year.
Solo or Small Ensemble opportunities are also available at either service during the year and especially during the summer months. Please contact the Music Director if you are interested in performing at any time.
