Redeemer Lutheran Church

Redeemer Lutheran Church was organized in 1955. Today its 800+ members serve the Stuart community in a wide variety of ministries. The congregation joins with over 175 other Lutheran congregations as part of the Florida-Georgia District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The district offices are located in Orlando, Florida.

The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, with international headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, is comprised of over 6000 congregations organized into 35 districts. The Synod supports two seminaries, ten colleges and universities, and a host of international ministries.

Redeemer Lutheran School

In the mid-60s, a kindergarten program was established under the direction of Mrs. Eddie Lee Smith. Since that time it has been an active part of life of the congregation and has played a special role in the development of early childhood education in the community.

In 1978 the congregation established a Lutheran parochial school as an outreach to the community. In September 1979, Redeemer Lutheran School opened the doors of its new school building to children in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and grades 1-3. Grades 4-8 were added in subsequent years, and the first 8th grade class was graduated in 1983. In 2001, the two-year-old Class was added.

Academics and Curriculum

Redeemer Lutheran School offers a Christ-centered education with high expectations.  In response to the perfect life of Jesus Christ, we strive to bring every child up to his or her potential.

“Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again:  Rejoice!”
